After much thought and consideration, the redevelopment of the former Lakeville State Hospital has been reimagined.
With the help of industry leading architects, engineers, and consultants, the project team has redesigned a mixed-residential master planned development. The new proposal will include senior living facilities, multifamily housing, and 55+ age-restricted cottages. The master plan will be a by-right proposal, designed to comply with the existing zoning bylaws. The project team has also incorporated community amenities such as publicly accessible walking trails and recreational areas into the reimagined master plan.

Previous Community Meetings:
June 5, 2024 - Many Lakeville residents were able to join us on at the Loon Pond Lodge for our second open forum-style community engagement meeting to learn about the Project. Members of the development and design teams were in attendance and reviewed the proposed plan for the Project and fielded many questions. It was great to hear feedback from the residents of Lakeville and we look forward to connecting with the community again in the near future. Thank you for your continued feedback and support. An article by Nemasket Week documenting the meeting can be found here.
December 5, 2023 – Our project team hosted a Community Engagement Meeting at the Lakeville Public Library to introduce the reimagined mixed-residential master plan. The project team received great feedback and suggestions from the community, such as the desire for nature trails and dog parks at the site. Both of these suggestions have been incorporated into the master plan. A summary of our Community Engagement Meeting can be found in the more information tab of this website.
